Sep 16, 2019 · The WiFi password can be changed from any computer by using the Time Warner website. Access the Time Warner web portal. Log into your Time Warner account. Look for In-home WiFi settings. On this screen, you can set a new network name and password. Save the changes. I think one has to do this to get a non Time Warner supplied cable modem to work with their service. I don't think I could just plug in any cable modem from Best Buy or Newegg and have it work. I have followed up with Time Warner and their L3, but they are continuing to point the issue to my Netgear CM500 modem. Even after sharing my event log highlighting the errors, they continue to claim that all signal levels are within specification. To get past the finger pointing, I will rent their modem to assess if my problems continue. This seems like it should be easy, but I can't get the Orbi to work with the Spectrum (Time Warner Cable) modem I have. It's an ARRIS modem. I shut the modem down, unplugged everything, rebooted the modem, connected the Orbi to the modem by ethernet cable, plugged in power to Orbi, did the same for the Orbi Satellite, and going through the Orbi Replaced my Spectrum cable modem with the best brand on the market. I was having a huge problem with Hue lights. The spectrum modem need to be rebooted many times, and when it did, it took from 3 to 6 days for it to re-sync. After replacing the modem, I have NO problems re-syncing.

If you reset the modem by power cycling it four days ago, then the up time should reflect four days and change worth of operation. If you haven’t reset your modem recently and the up time is a few days (or less) then it’s time to dig a little deeper.
